Default How to deselect all items? (opposite of ctrl-a)

I've found that useful in other DAWs. Does Reaper have an equivalent?

Thanks.

Yes, but you need to make your custom action.

Go into Action List and click New action. Then:

Envelope: Unselect all envelope points
Item: Unselect all items
Track: Unselect all tracks

Name it to your will and assign to your shortcut. I'm using Shift+A.

There's an action/command to "Unselect all items". Go to main menu Actions->Show action list..., type unselect all items in Filter field and assign a key to it by clicking on Add button:

Ahhh... I understand.

I'm new to Reaper (coming from Cubase and Pro Tools) and am liking it so far. And these forums are making it even more attractive.

Thanks to all.

Glad to have you here, kelp. You'll find there are literally hundreds of things in the Actions List that you can assign ... hope you enjoy doing so!

Surely the simplest way is to just click any blank space on any track? Unless I'm misunderstanding....
and if you don't want the cursor to move then Alt-click.
