Default Customizing menus

Hi

I started working on a french version of Reaper's menus....

Something is not quite right as some sub menus don't show the new customizations...

For exemple, the ''open item in editor'' won't show modifications....

Fix ? Please ?

Thanks

Has come up several times. Some of the menu entries are created by Reaper at runtime, "open in editor" being one of them. The entries in that submenu are depending on what editors you have set up as primary/secondary editors and whether the item is MIDI or audio. I guess we're out of luck here.

Oh well... thanks
At least now, I won't try to figure out if I did it wrong

At the moment ??

Customized menus are only a week or two old ... plenty of time to grow. Parameterized text strings could do it

"Open items with %1" >> "Ouvrir les éléments avec %1"

Actually there is an easy fix for this
Just delete the menu entirely
Yes thats rioght delete it entirely
Now make macros to open the editors you want and make your own sub menu with these macros named whatever you like

I did this cause i hate the crappy way that Reaper names the editors from the exe file

we do have, and even no need for complex template
these strings can be customized by the user, and reaper will add them the name of the editor,

this should apply to all the runtime created strings.

btw noticed a bug , the default item in the combo box is one after last selected item.
EDIT: happen only if the last item was media item context

Nice Sometimes I love to be proven wrong.

Didn't think of such a nice workaround. Maybe it's because my current pet is the "jump to marker" menu that you get on the transport context. I like that it gives me the actual marker names and stuff, so I tried to get it into the ruler context with no avail. When I made that first post I was just ready with the process of putting up with it for now, so I guess I had my blinders on

Whatsup, what you are writing there raises my hope. I have absolutely no idea about coding. I thought if it could be done, they just would have done it, but that sounds like a reasonable strategy.
