Red face Track titles on the CD

So, How do I get the track titles to show up on a CD when I burn it?

that's a damn good question. I'd like to see the result of this. We show up as "Hiroshima" for some crazy reason.

Wink

I do not think this is possible yet. I would love the titles to be used from the Regions we set each track with.

it's gotta be a data layer or something. Obviously many pressed CD's have this so it should be a physical possibility.

I'll have to check with my old friends at the cd manufacturing plant and see if they know.

No data layer is required. You have to add the proper tags to the cue sheet. You can do it in any text editor. i.e.

Code:
REM This is a sample track index
REM GENRE Ska
REM DATE 1991
REM DISCID D00DA810
REM COMMENT "ExactAudioCopy v0.95b4"
CATALOG 1234567890123
PERFORMER "The Specials"
TITLE "Singles"
FILE "The Specials - Singles.wav" WAVE
  TRACK 01 AUDIO
    TITLE "Gangsters"
    SONGWRITER "Me I Write"
    PERFORMER "The Specials"
    ISRC ABCDE1234567
    FLAGS DCP
    PREGAP 00:03:00
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    POSTGAP 00:02:00
  TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "Rudi, A Message To You"
    PERFORMER "The Specials"
    INDEX 00 02:47:74
    INDEX 01 02:48:27
There are lots of other strings you can add to your cue sheet:

# CATALOG
# CDTEXTFILE
# FILE
# FLAGS
# INDEX
# ISRC
# PERFORMER
# POSTGAP
# PREGAP
# REM
# SONGWRITER
# TITLE
# TRACK

See http://digitalx.org/cuesheetsyntax.php#isrc

<edit> I just beefed up track one with more info

Excellent news! So how do you do the cue sheet? Must it be first on the CD? Do you burn a data cd with the cue sheet and wav files?

When you render a CD in Reaper, it creates two separate files, a bin file and a cue file.

Directions are here: http://forum.cockos.com/showpost.php...64&postcount=2

Then open the cue file with Notepad and edit it, adding your info in the proper places. Then burn the CD with imgburn. Associate the cue file with imgburn, and when you doubleclick the cue file, it will open imgburn automatically, ready to record your CD.

<edit> I just added a lot of info to the track one example above, so you can see how it looks.

Sweet! I've never burned from within Reaper. I always just used a burning program. I'll check this out tonight!

Tried this out without success. iTunes and WMP wouldn't take it (found a plugin for WMP to show text).

Turns out though, you can just make a playlist in iTunes of your songs, edit the info, burn it, turn on Text, and voila! CD pops up with the info in both iTunes and WMP.

I played around with this some last night, looking at the CUE file Reaper produced. The track titles (from the markers) WERE in there, but neither of Reaper's built-in methods (on Windows) of CD burning will burn the CD text. ImgBurn, however, did. So if the CD text is important to you, I gues you're stuck with 'outsourcing' your burning to ImgBurn! ;-)

Actually, I've never NOT burned in Reaper before, so we're all learning here!
