The thread title should be fixed. It's not all caps.

I always Thought that a big red button in the main toolbar with the name "make me a radio ready song" would be an awesome feature!

Something more serious to this funny thread.

Simple things that would make Reaper's MIDI paint tool a bit smarter:
- Allow constraining painting to single pitch.
- Automatically select all notes painted in the last brush stroke.
- Allow painting single notes with single click without dragging.
- Automatically adapt spacing of painted notes based on note length snapping to nearest grid following end of previous note.
- Allow "monophonic editing" by painting over existing notes.
- Allow muting/unmuting nearest notes using paint tool.

a,c and d are possible already, if I understand you. I don't understand e.
I'd like to have what I'd call a pattern brush, where you could paint more complex rhythmical or even melodical patterns by selecting the pattern out of a pool and then just drag along (I THOUGHT UP TO NOW THAT'S WHAT YOU ALSO MEAN, SAMSOME? )

yes actually i've seen something similar on FXpansion - BFD3

you basically choose a rudiment...and then 2 sounds of the kit, and then with the paint tool it alternates between them by dragging along

Wow! Looks like "Paint notes -> Horizontally" mouse-modifier is the solution to all those use cases. I had totally forgotten that option. Thanks gofer.
The only problem I found is that painting over existing notes seems to be buggy.
This can't be correct or intended behavior:

This would be quite handy behavior:

See the part of example video (in post #12) starting at time 0:36.
It's probably not the best example, but anyway you might get the idea what it should do. It's quite handy. Kind of like super fast way to move notes vertically. No need do grab and drag notes, just click where you want the notes to be.
Here is another example:

I can't replicate that. Here it seems to work like your second vid (except that the created notes are not selected, which I don't like). What do the colors red and green indicate in the reaper vid with the problem?
EDIT: Ah, it behaves non-smart when the existing notes aren't on the grid, that could be more intelligent. But it doesn't seem to be what happens to you there...

I don't use the draw stuff a lot, pretty much only when I quickly need a bunch of notes to test something.

The "monophonic" thingy looks interesting indeed, I like How does it decide which note to change (in the vid in the other post) always the closest one? I would use that quite a lot, I think.

Strange. I can't replicate that buggy behavior anymore. I don't know how I got it. I was just testing various painting mouse-modifiers and then I saw that strange behavior. After starting a new project I can't reproduce it anymore.

The note colors indicate velocity.

In Reaper painting over existing notes seems to replace the existing notes (note length and velocity will be reset to the one in all new notes), while in the other DAW the existing notes are kept intact. Only empty spaces are filled with new notes. That's what I tried to show in the example video, but it was not clear because note length and velocity were the same in old and new notes.

Here the existing note stays intact and the new painted note will be split/shortened to give way.
