Can I load / close project files with a midi message?

I've got an AxeFX II and a Liquid Foot midi controller. What I'd LIKE is to set things up so that when I step on the Liquid Foot button that tells the AxeFX to load a preset, it also tells reaper to close whatever file it's got open and load whatever project file is associated with that preset.

The Liquid Foot is very flexible - it can send whatever combination of midi commands is necessary. Can I "tag" the project files with preset numbers somewhere? Can I configure reaper to load a particular file when it gets a midi message like "PC 5"?

How do I do this?
