Poulin Legion sucking 25% of my CPU

Using the Poulin guitar sim Vst..got the Legion loaded and the Poulin Cab..

Any idea why it would be using 25% of FX CPU as shown in the Perf Meter?

Could any Reaper users using the Poulin VSTs tell me there CPU usage for comparison..

Really want to make the Lepou stuff work.

What's your CPU?

LePou sims are pretty CPU hungry over here as well - about 10-20% CPU (depending on the plugin) on my Intel Core2Duo E4400 (2 GHz).

I just realized the hybrit. Le456, Lextac w/cab all are in the 10-12% range. The one I like the most Legion w/ cab is hitting close to 25%

Going to try the Solo C and Lecto

AMD Turion 64 1.8ghz

Yeah, seems normal, guitar sims are pretty hard, especially if your using anything with an impulse response.

Except Shred 1.5. That one is really easy on CPU, even with IRs.

Your CPU isn't something you'd write home about, BachEnvy. Be lucky it's working.

Hey!! hahahaha...I am thinking new IMAC right now. Its my girlfriends HP laptop, she gave it to me..my PC is 1200 miles away(its a long story). She had VISTA on it, I just upgraded to 7. Vista was killing me..7 looks like Vista though..and I am maxed at 2gig ram. That 4 gig IMAC looks good.

Actually I just discovered the Solo C full stack which I like much better anyways. Doesnt get lost in my mix as much and its at about 10% with cab sim.
