Default Option to persistently auto-reposition items in FIP

We have the action Item: Auto-reposition items in free item positioning mode but you have to run it every time you move items on top of each other in FIP, as they tend to overlap and it looks messy.

With the upcoming AIs we have this clever code that stacks the aitems neatly. Could we have this option for FIP items too please?

Options->Show overlapping media items in lanes(tick on). Doesn't work for you?

Well, yes, but I'd like to enable it just for certain tracks, because it messes up visual cues for crossfading etc on other tracks. That's why I use FIP in the first place.
