Default rtpMIDI + ctrlr ( MIDI Host Feedback)

Hello everyone !

I started to use Reaper few days ago and just fall in love with it ! Still in the trial version but not for long
This afternoon, I tried to configure it in order to use rptMIDI (Network MIDI driver) and ctrlr (a MIDI editor).
The process : ctrlr (Device) -> rptMIDI -> Reaper (Host)
It almost works, data from the device are successfully send to the host but data from host are not transmitted to the device though I have enabled all the stuff in the MIDI Devices options.

It works in Ableton Live so I think its Reaper related.
Thank for your support !

Well, after reading some interesting topics in the "MIDI and other music/audio protocols" forum and this in particular : http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=94384.

Sounds like the feature is simply not implemented to Reaper. Rip

It's possible to do this Midi feedback from Reaper (Host) using OSC and OSCII-bot (from Cockos). The signal path would probably be something like

ctrlr (Device) -> rptMIDI <-> OSCII-bot <-> OSC <-> Reaper (Host)

This works fine for standard Midi such as notes, CC, and program change, but OSCII-bot won't handle Midi sysex. Search for posts by forum user "Banned" to discover more about OSC and OSCII-bot.
