Tonelux Revisited Released
Bugfix The latest download repairs a bug that surfaced when I installed 5.40. So you will need get the latest version for the theme to display correctly.
Here it is, I hope this is equal to what was originally intended.
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1951/To...ReaperThemeZip
Two tones of tcp with two meter sizes
Some mcp layouts
to mix and match
and a transport that resizes a little depending on where you put it
Some interesting color choices
in the midi editor as well

Great effort!
Nice to see one of those sad little languishing orphans brought screaming and kicking into the world!

THANKS SO MUCH.
If I may say something, I think the transport of WT's Imperial theme would fit
your theme so much better (the buttons look like your solo and cut ones).
AGAIN THANKS this theme is pretty cool.

Give back to the community...
Nice to see that some of you will get some use of the theme...
@Vegalume, GSun, ivansc, vdubreeze, WKG
@CloseToTheEdge, a fellow progrock aficionado I presume
@hopi, my dad was in the army...how did you guess
@sightlessness, I'll do a transport with the Imperial buttons

Mac Problems
On a Mac, I'm not seeing the correct Tools in the Toolbar and Transport.
Is there another part to this theme I may be missing?

I didn't offer any toolbar icons with the theme, so unless you choose your own the default icons will be used.
I expect that most people have their preferred toolbars which they would import if necessary.
There are no toolbar icons in the Transport. You are not missing anything.
Just choose which icons to use in your toolbars.
Cheers.

Select the transport to display. Press ctrl-e then select the Imperial-transport from the transport dropdown. Using this menu you can select the various layouts.

hwhalen thanks so much, looks great
How do I get your cool icons to display, all I get is the default ugly ones.
Thanks.
Edit: I take it we can't import used icons on a theme to import into another... and importing an icon per action is lots of time wasted.

The only icons that I've used should be available in any Reaper install I believe. I've just changed them on my toolbar by editing the toolbar, selecting which icon to use...but I can include the icons I use. I'll update the theme later today.

Default Icons
! This is what it looks like on a clean portable install !
The icons I've added are a copy of the V3 icons, which are the ones that I use.
You can see that the background is not the one in the theme, but rather the one in the---reaper-install/data/toolbar_icons--- folder
You can change them to look like I have them by...
Right-click the toolbar and select customize toolbar
Once there right-click the icon to change it.
The icons available to you are visible.
You can see what the icons will look like with the theme background.
Select one, then the next etc... Save your toolbar when you're finished.

Wow, now this looks so sweet thanks so much.
Could you share your Main Toolbar.ReaperMenuSet
and maybe some more icons?
Global icon on trasport doesn't display a proper icon for the theme, maybe you have
one for that too?
Nevertheless I like a lot this theme, thanks so much for sharing it.
Edit:This theme somehow makes me feel the buttons make sense on what they do, like very intuitive.

I made a set of global automation icons for the Imperial transport.
All the toolbar icons that I use are already available to you.
Here's the menu file

hwhalen, thanks again! I wish there was a quick train to a destination where we reaperists could meet once in a while and talk about music stuff, among other
stuff, and thank you personally for your theme.
Cheers mate
(I asked for the main toolbar coz another theme required one saved and I forgot
to save a default one).

This looks fabulous, downloading now, will give it a test run this afternoon, great work.
After working with this for a while, I found what I think may be a bug, track FX enable button, when right clicked brings up the add fx to track window,
which is fine if you want to add an effect, but a pita if you only want to adjust an effect you're already using, strange how the input FX button works in the correct manner, or am I doing something silly?

Thanx Slapclap. The FX button...there is actually 2 buttons here.
The FX and the FXBYP buttons which I've placed on top of each other.
I can choose which of the buttons have precedence, I've chosen the FXBYP button which allows me to press the buttom to bypass the effect.
Unfortunately it causes this pita :-(
You're not doing anything silly. I'll keep looking for a way to improve on this behavior while maintaining the look.
I use a Mouse modifier to double-click the track area to display and adjust effects and didn't notice this... Sorry 'bout dat.

Ah! thanks Hwhalen, I really like this theme, I'm still a novice in terms of hours spent on Reaper, though I used Cubase for a lot of years, so I'm never sure if it's a bug or user fault when something like this crops up, still! keep up the good work mate, I shall keep checking for any updates you may make.

hwhalen Man, I hope my sincerity about one enjoying this theme, loving it, and second being very grateful for it came across already. If I ever get somewhat famous you will have a free ticket or 2 or 3 to a concert, lol, vip treatment (of course that won't happen but you get the gist, lol).

Not sure what shading you're talking about?
Edit. I think I know now what you're talking about. I'll change it so that when then item is selected it is a little brighter.

Yes that's what I meant, had the same problem with a couple of tool bar icons, I managed to change those myself, but I couldn't figure out how to change the selected item, just a suggestion, but darker would be better imo, the Item background is a very bright white, so maybe just a slightly darker tint when highlighted would work a treat, worked with a mix last night and enjoyed using the theme, but at certain times I had to change themes to what I was using before, just to make certain I was doing the right thing, but i have to say, I love the theme and it's very easy on the eye, good work mate.
