Default BPM problem

I am wondering if there is a way out of my problem other than just rerecording.
I put together an arrangement with the BPM set at 100. I then use projects
as a freeze and just render what I have and then drop the rendered submix
into a new project tab.

I then track with that and added 2 guitar tracks with the idea that I could
mess around with them, get them how I like and then paste them into the
first project at final mixing.

The problem is with the new project, I just imported the submix wave and started tracking without setting the BPM from the default 150 and now the
guitar tracks don't sync up in the original 100 BPM project.

Is there anyway I can fix it? is it worth the trouble or should I just
rerecord the guitar in a new project tab with the BPM set right.

I hope this makes sense

Edit: Thinking about this, since the submix at 100BPM played fine in the
new 150 BPM project, the 150 BPM guitar tracks should play fine in the
100 BPM project if I import them as media items instead of just copy/paste?
