5.26 - MIDI import of multitrack MIDI file: First track missing (FIXED)
Hi,
When importing a multitrack-MIDI-file, the first track is missing.
Up until 5.25 it used to work.

Hello James blood and welcome to posting in these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information.
Can you attach the ZIPped MIDI file so that we can have a look and see what's (not) happening?

What program created or exported this .mid file? It is technically not correctly formed; it is a type 1 file with no tempo track. It is basically an accident that previous versions of REAPER imported the first track correctly. Having said that, we can probably officially add support for files like this.

The missing track has notes on MIDI channel 16.

I asked the bandmember who made the file, it was exported from Guitar Pro 5.
When I export it with Tuxguitar it works in reaper 5.26.

OK, thanks. I don't think it will be difficult for us to (re-)support importing files like this.

Thank you so much.
In the mean time I can import the file to Tuxguitar and Export again, after that I can import it to reaper perfectly.
