Can't open project from mapped "network" drive
Hi,
I am not sure if this is an issue of my setup or is this an some kind of bug in Reaper.
So in short problem is that I had mapped network drive and I can not open Reaper project from there.
Longer description...
I can see folder, browse it on open project, but when I click open Reaper goes unresponsive.
Open project windows goes away, but it newer open project and Reaper is unresponsive.
I do not get any other error than windows says that it is unresponsive. Also windows logs are clear.
Also saving to this network drive do not work and reaper goes unresponsive.
I can not close reaper even from task manager, only reboot helps. I can open new reaper and it works... until I try to open or save project from network drive.
If I copy project to local drive it works without any issue. Other files from network drive works without any issue with various programs.
Other thing here is that it is not "ordinary network drive". It is shared folder from VMWare player host and Windows 10 is running on virtual machine. Host is Linux Ubuntu.
On this share I have checked that rights should be ok and it is not "read only". Also I have run CHMOD -R 777 ./ on root of that drive so all files and folders has RW for all users on Linux file system.
Drive is ext4, but as Windows sees this as shared SMB share this should not make any difference.
But anyway something is wrong and I can not open projects from "network" share.
All help is appreciated and if you need any future info just let me know.
Oh well.. Linux is Ubuntu Studio (LTS 16.04.1), Windows is 10 with newest security updates (feature updates are deferred) and Reaper is 5.26.
