Default Essential feature still missing!

Still, after all these years, there is no Pong game in Reaper Arcade! What am I supposed to do after opening Reaper if I am not in the right mood for Nibbles or Blocks but would rather have a good time playing Pong?
I just can't waste my time in a real pro fashion if there's no Pong at all in the bloody DAW? How are you guys work around the problem? Myself, I keep a deck of cards near the desk, but it feels a bit clumsy and not like Pong at all.

My aunt would have loved you for that. Never saw her without a desk of cards near her desk, ever. (spielte "Patiencen"^^).
She would have had no clue what Pong is, though. Well, one cannot have everything. But why not Pong in Reaper...true...

Congratulations to the Cockos team, it's been fun following this development The release of Reaper 4 also coincided with my getting a new Firewire PCI card which eradicated the hellish pop and click troubles i've been having for the last couple of months. 14$ from Tokyo

So a very nice day Hipp-Hipp. Huzzah!

Are the themes compatible with version 4 or will we need to wait for them to be upgraded?

The older themes will work, but they won't have any of the new features until (if) they get updated.

Gawd, stupid question, but I cant find the answer anywhere: will Reaper 4 support old Reaper 3 projects? I.e. can I load my old projects without hassle as long as the paths (audio sources, vst's etc) are correct?

I could try it myself, but Im not close to the studio right now and I'm eager to know

Reaper 3 projects should load just fine in version 4.

great update, and fantastic decision to let users test this new version all the way through from the alpha stage.
That's why I upgraded as soon as the option was available.
One of the few software companies where upgrading is a no brainer.

Judging by other DAWs Pong would add about $500 to the purchase price...

Kudos to the Reaper team and a big congrats on 4.

I've had a lifelong passion for music and have been in the business for almost 20 years. I can honestly say that Reaper is the best value of any musical 'tool' I've used in my career.

It is much appreciated...

Cheers!

PS: Great community...the developers have a wonderful inclusive attitude for the user-base.

hmm... to me it was a good news, somewhat, to see that a big Team (Core) released Reaper v4 the very day it was available.

It means to me that Reaper is now really considered as a major player.
Which is a good news.

Ok, a "cracked" version of Reaper makes no sense, I admit it!

I won't debate on the "pirate" world, as to me it is only thanks to them that I could evaluate big products and decide to spend big money or not.

Don't tell me I don't buy my music software. I was one of the first ones to buy Reaper 1.0, and I was pretty quick to buy Reaper 4.0.

Default For 4...

A huge profusion of thanks goes out to the Cockos development team for Reaper 4. Bravo - it's amazing!

Also wanted to mention that I'm thrilled about the new frequency analyzer in ReaEQ; absolutely fantastic idea to add that. I use it quite a lot for a track EQ and have long wished for this feature.

Cheers!
