I would love to see that. As someone who has recently learned some harmony theory, it would come in very useful keeping track of various chords. Good idea!

You could fake this by putting another MIDI item track below this main one, then add items and name each item with the chord name for each change. Then show media item lane in the main MIDI editor and it will show the blocks representing the named MIDI items with the chord name clearly visible if you are not zoomed too far out.

I'm not even recording MIDI yet, and that is a GREAT idea. You need to submit this. I'm recording the audio out of my Yam MX49 but havent had the courage to step up to MIDI yet.

That feature would make it just that much easier.

great idea...is this considered an official feature request, now that it has been moved to this sub-forum?

This would also be helpful for the audio tracks as well.
