Default Mute automation

Reaper can to disable fx processing for muted tracks. But this feature works only when I mute tracks by myself. When it reads "mute" automation it does only track mute, but fx processing still runs. It would be nice, if Reaper will bypass FX for tracks, muted according with "mute" automation envelope.
Or what about addilng a "bypass all fx oh the track" envelope?

Confirmed - when using the "Mute" envelope for the track, the FX remain active and using CPU when the track state switches to muted

This is by design. If you want to free up the FX processing, use bypass automation. Mute automation leaves the FX running so that it can be muted and unmuted, even during something like a reverb tail, without glitching.

And what about adding "bypass all fx oh the track" automation? I think it will be very usefull. It is unhandy to create bypass envelopes for each effect on the track.

Please make a feature to automate the mutes in a way that bypasses all the plugins on the track as well, thus saving CPU power.

Thanks!

if the track has no region then the FX chain is fed with silence? or will that skip/by-pass the fx-chain?

Hey! Dear Cockos Staff! There is a lot of people like us, who would appreciate such automation envelope. Could you please make it for us or at least answer why not? I see discussion went down, but the problem is still alive
