I know it's difficult to see, it's near the bottom of the transport in my image. It's like a discontinuation of the separator for the ruler/top window area.
I'm not sure if/what can be done about this.

The fact that it got thicker gives me an idea as to where it's coming from. I'll have a tinker.

I love your nitpicky edition theme Lokasenna, fantastic work! (+ radial menu and theory helper).
The default theme is good but yours offer the extra tweakibility many prefer.
I use icons in track and mixer view and when switching between the deafult 5 and your theme I've noticed one thing that differs.
Your track icon square in track panel view mode is a little bit smaller than the default theme, and this makes many of my icons cross the
left boarder of the icon square line a little bit, some are on the edge (they are all the same size as the default icons).
It seems like the small space to the left of the track icon is causing this in your theme.
When muting a track and the small "m" pops up in the little space to the left of the track icon, the space to the right of this "m" is bigger in your
theme, taking away a little space from the icon square. In the deafult theme the space is symmetrical around the small "m".
Try switching quickly between default and yours and notice how the icon space shrinks a little.
Try the original track icon "guitar_full.png". In your theme it is right on the edge, in the deafult 5 there is more room.
AFAIK it's been like this since the first nitpicky edition, including the latest, and it only shows in track control panel mode, not in mixer mode.

That's unfortunately a side effect of my changes to the meters. If memory serves, in order to allow user colors on the TCP meters, I had to make them a few pixels wider due to some Reaper weirdness.
We sadly don't have any access to the size/shape/location of track icons from within a theme, so I don't think there's any way to fix it for you.
Sorry.

Thanks, I see.
It doesn't bother me much and I will still continue to use you nitpicky theme with the added tweak control.
Cheers!

Quick question about the theme in general:
I noticed that there is no untinted for LARGE track layouts. Is there any way you could, when you find a free moment, set it up for us blind old folks who use large track layouts? I would find it much kinder on the eyes if you could make a "large untinted" TCP layout I believe many would enjoy that.
Thank you for considering.

Updated with untinted Large and Small layouts.
@Robert Randolph - I can't get that line to show up here at all. What, if anything, do you have docked immediately below the transport bar? Care to post a broader screenshot?

Do you have the transport set to "Above main window"?
I'll get you a screenshot later.

Thank you for the untinting. You are very kind.
Edit:
Actually, the large untinted is not working. It reverts to untinted regular size. in TCP at least. Just tried it.

Ok, so this doesn't happen when the transport is docked in a docker as someone told me earlier in this thread. So naturally I just docked the the transport and I've been using it ok since.
Now... I can't replicate my earlier screenshot at all! No matter where I position the transport.
Very confusing I guess we can consider this some sort of Reaper bug, and not a NPE theme issue.

Bless you friend. You did fix it, thank you. However I noticed something funky with the way you resized a few things. I don't know the lingo to describe it but I'll attach a pic to show you.
Blurry and wonky blown up icons vs. Reaper's default 5 large layout with crisp icons.
Especially the envelope icon proves this but it looks like all elements suffer. A save error maybe?
Reaper's large track layout looks sharp and clean.
Your large track layout blurry and pixelated:
Normal Reaper 5 large layout (tinted):

You can test this yourself by opening Reaper with your NP theme.
First select a track and change it to default normal size untinted.
Look at the crispness of icons, envelope, FX, etc.
Now change that track to large untinted and watch the icons while you switch.
It's very obvious that way I believe. Hope that helps.

Fixed.
Reaper themes are a bit frustrating when it comes to subfolders. The "Untinted" layouts are just a subfolder labelled "untinted", like so:
Images
--Untinted
--Large
----Untinted
--Small
----Untinted
...the only contents being replacements for the panel backgrounds. The layout code just directs Reaper to those subfolders, but when the Large and Small untinted layouts go looking for the rest of their images they jump back to the base folder rather than looking up one level.
Solution: Copy all of the images into the Untinted folders so they don't have to hunt for them. Future updates are going to be fun. :/ Oh well.

Thanks Lokasenna for this theme. I am going to replace the Default v5 Dark Theme with yours as I don't want my mixer looking like a rainbow.

I just checked the download and it works fine. What's the problem?
Does it look like this, by chance?
If so, something got messed up when you installed the theme.

Nevermind, just realized that your Theme doesn't have the untinted tracks either. Guess I was hoping it was the case too lol and clicked too fast :P I still can't get the track control panel to show the colors without the tint. I clicked the option for it and the colors go away completely... both default and yours too...

There are extra layouts - "Standard - Untinted", etc - that remove the half-tinting from track panels while leaving the track number strip colored in.
As for looking just like the default theme, that's the idea. Nitpicky is just for fixing up inconsistencies and annoyances to make the Default 5 more useful. The best example is the monitor buttons - in Default 5, they're incredibly flat and hard to read against the track background. Nitpicky gives them the same button style as every other button.

I tried the different layouts: nothing..... everytime I remove the "tint" function, the TP assumes the original background color and only the label takes on the color..

I can think of three different "levels" of tint you can do:
1. Completely tinted, like the default theme and the image in this thread's first post - enable tinting for track panel backgrounds in Preferences.
2. Just the number strip - enable tinting, and use Nitpicky's Untinted layouts, as in the image in your post.
3. No tinting at all - disable tinting in Preferences.
Are you trying for something different? What exactly do you want and not want tinted?

The high DPI theme is completely separate, so I'd have to do everything I did for Nitpicky all over again. I don't even have a fancy enough screen to test it so... nope.
If someone else wanted to take it on I'd be more than happy to include it in the first post.

Hi. I like this theme.
Can you help me to solve one problem?
- TCP minimal:
What I need:
1. Track name to up.
2. Add meter.
What I need to fix in rtconfig.txt ?
This is simple gif to show my problem: https://i.imgur.com/9xpBRYb.gif

I'm trying to make the track panel background show solid colors like the number strip. Meaning, the whole track panel is one solid color like this:

(Sorry for the delay)
I see. Neither Nitpicky nor Default 5 will do that, but it's a very easy thing to modify either theme for.
If you're interested, here's a quick tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDTi9uDwhf0
For what you want, it's just a matter of opening the track and mixer panel backgrounds (tcp_bg.png and mcp_bg.png) in Photoshop/Gimp/etc and erasing all of the grey for the background. Tinting works based on the transparency of the background image's pixels - completely opaque = no tint, completely empty = full tint, just like the number strips.

Liking your theme very much. One welcome addition, if you may, is to make it easier to know what folder indentation we are looking in a certain part of the screen.
An image to illustrate how easier it is to detect lets say: "This track is in the second folder level" is attached.
I am also attaching the file needed to do it. Folder indent.

I'll think about it, but I don't really see a need - I've never had any trouble figuring out which level a given track in.
If I did add something there, I'd rather do something like this (shitty mockup warning):
Anyone else feel like this would helpful?

I've never had any problems, but my folders don't run very deep.
However I can see how this would help users.
The grey dots are easy on the eyes, I would prefer them

Same here. I usually have only one level of folders. But something subtle like grey dots wouldn't bother me...

Turns out that the dots can't be centered vertically because of theming issues. Here's what I've got working now:
