Pure Data (PD) for Reaper
Hey guys,
I think it would be really fun to have PD integrated in Reaper as Max exists for Ableton Live. This would give us a countless number of possibilities and as PD is freeware I think this could be possible!

Did you miss the VST plugin version of PureData? Cockos forum discussion thread here :
http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=175177
Or do you think having it as a Reaper feature would allow for something more suited to your needs?

My upvote for this feature. It would be beyond amazing to use Pure Data inside Reaper. The VST doesn't work for me.

I think this would be great as well. I'm not sure what licensing hoops might be blocking the path but I know n-track has already done this to some extent.

Honestly, Justin should have bought Synthedit and integrated that in to Reaper, it would kick ass up n down.

And do their 64 bit and OS-X and Linux porting work for them after buying it...

These similar problems would exist even if PD was built into Reaper, the PD patches would need to be adapted to work with Reaper's parameter system and so on...This feature request should really be more precise on how exactly PureData should work inside Reaper.

What ?
Reaper doesn't have an official Linux port, Synthedit runs 64bit and OSX, has done for years, what decade you drifting back to hahaha

Assumably that would have happened back when Synthedit was only available for 32 bit Windows. Then Cockos would have had to do the 64 bit Windows and OS-X 32/64 bit ports...

Should have is any time pre the comment, the 64 bit and OSX version of Synthedit have been around for years, why not just say "I hate Synthedit" and move on haha

Interesting topic.
I think it's better if Cockos make Visual node base JSFX.
So we can make modules and extend the library using EEL-Lua-C++.
Pure Data and Synth Edit both are semi abandoned.

btw it's make sense and that perhaps will be rather more attractive for J&J I guess)
I've thought about one too.

No, all patches perform the same way here. Every patch jumps back to about 100px. And when I scroll I can't even see sliders or knobs. It's just empty?

Pure Data has had it's GUI revamped. The release is called "Purr Data". It looks a lot better now ...

Yea I installed it , it's more stable than the vanilla.

Hi. Yes tried a Purr Data synth (AUTOMATONISM) with the VST plugin and of course the GUI does not load because it's HTML5 based. I might get in contact with the author.

right from the start page it says " max is runnning in over 1500 companys acrosse the world" s
we should rather get max support and leverage all those plugins which are already written for ableton live .
