Default SynthMaker plugins safe to embed bridge for REAPERx64

Hey guys,
Does anyone have any experience with using SynthMaker plugins (such as Bootsy/Variety Of Sound) with embedded VST bridge?

I've just transitioned to REAPERx64, but still use rely on several Bootsy plugins and would prefer to embed the plugin bridge (cos the two-window thing is PITA).

Has anyone found any problems? Is it crash-safe?

Thanks in advance,
Dax.

I use the Bootsy stuff bridged quite a lot, especially Ferric TDS, Boot Eq, and VBL. Never had a problem.

64 bit versions would sure be nice though.

Unless he's changed his mind in the last three years, that isn't going to happen:

I just stopped using his plugins altogether and have found great substitutes that are either free or cheap. Since I'll be moving to a Macbook soon, I want to keep my workflow similar to my current experience, so I'm only using Mac-compatible plugins now.

Okay, great to know. Thanks guys!

Also, does anyone know if there's a fix for the blank plugin window when you open an embedded, bridged plugin?

Are you getting floating plugins, or nothing? Have you tried right clicking on the plugin in the fx window and selecting run as - embed bridged UI?

The plugins show up and they work, it's just that when you open or close/re-open the GUI, it's blank except for the 'moving parts' like meters.

Hmm, that's pretty weird. No idea how to fix that one.

I hear gripes about synthmaker plugins, but I have used several. Some are quite good and none of them have presented a problem for Reaper.

I decided to get ruthless when I set up my new machine. 100% 64bit plugs.
Apart from NI`s B4II that I just cant bear to lose.
YES there are quite a few 32bit plugs, many of them synthmaker based that I sort of miss but as has often been said there ARE free or cheap substitutes out there. You just have to find them and get used to them.

Default VoS 32bit

I use these plugins in win7-reaper64 a lot. No problems with automatic bridging. I never used the embed GUI option until now , but will try now on my win10/technical preview machine.
First impression: everything looks like it should, no graphical errors.
Btw, i remember having some serious graphical errors some time ago. If i recall it right it was an issue with a logitech app, very strange.

The only synthmaker plugin I've ever seen cause issues has been Anna synth, it sometimes craps out and the plugin engine dies. Everything else has been working fine.

Oh REALLY?? That's very interesting because I have for many years used a Logitech G110 keyboard with the associated software.. hmm.. thanks for giving me something to investigate, Vinod!
