Default Kick replacement via ReaGate out of sync with buffer changes

I am using ReaGate to replace the kick drum using ezdrummer. I had the audio buffer set to 64. Everything works fine but as I add vsts to other tracks I figured I would up my audio buffer but I cannot without the kick drum going out of sync.

Do I need to do something like delete ReaGate, change my audio buffer and then add ReaGate back in? It seems like it compensates for the audio buffer when initially added and then never updates if the buffer size changes?
