Default Reaper with saffire pro 10 plugins

Hi guys, I just installed my new focusrite Saffire pro 10 interface. I tried to install the focusrtite plugins and imported their dll'S in the plugins folder. When I get reaper to detect them, I get error messages. Anyone installed them with succes???

Reaper + This interface (saffire pro 10) is really getting me back in music !!!

Have you registered the Focusrite plug ins??? You must do this or they won't work.

Default No luck yet

I tried reinstalling the plugins, when I get Reaper to detect the plugins (in C/program files/vstplugins/focusrite) reaper detects an invalid action and crashes the install... I can not get to the authorisation. According to Focusrite, you have to acsess the plugins through your DAW to execute the authorisation request. Wonder If I can start the plugins some other way ???

yes, use another free host app that supports vst ...
(if you`re on pc, check thisone: http://www.hermannseib.com/savihost.htm ) ...
or use a demo of one of the payversions ... once you`ve managed the registration from there, you just go on with reaper ... not the most elegant solution, but should work ... allthough i doubt that this problem you got is because of the registration ... good luck!

Sorry, I misunderstood. I didn't realize you couldn't get to the activation...

Well, mine work fine here- but I installed them over a year ago so something may have changed in the way that Reaper or the plug ins work.

Best bet is to try a demo of another DAW or the free host The Brok cited above.

I uninstalled reaper from the control panel, reinstalled with the latest reaper version and voilà !!!!!

Thaey are all working fine now. No registration, nothing, heck I did not even try to install the plugins, they were just still sitting in the reaper / plugins file, and somehow, Reaper picked them up on while reinstalling!!!

I wish I could be clearer, but I just tried a fresh Reaper reinstall for the heck of it, when I loaded an old song, the saffire vst's were stated in the list...
