When copying or moving a clip with an envelope, the curves lose their tension to linear. Very inconvenient.

Edit: Only when dragging the clip

Is there anything special with the item? Are they time stretched?

i've experienced it before, but in other thread peaple told me to put it in there as I'm using this pre-release version.

When I load this test project with ONLY waves VST3 plugin in 58 instances:

Plugins GUIs goes blank and I get this:

1. MIDI items don't open horizontally zoomed to fill the editor on the first time, double-clicking the item again zooms it correctly.

2. Using the MIDI toolbar or dropdown boxes in bottom of MIDI editor window results in MIDI editor losing focus.

The bug that will not die lol!

This time it's not a long item from a short looped source, but many small items next to each other. The length of the item is 0:00.480s (1 beat @ 125BPM) if that helps.

I just noticed an situation where ledger lines are still being drawn in front of noteheads. It seems to happen when voices have been set - if two voiced notes share the beat and are both on ledger lines, the voice which is the lower pitched of the two will have the ledger line in front.

A bit off the beaten track here, I've only just realised that the trim envelope is still prerelease (I thought it was in v5.18).

The reason I've brought this up is because Mike Senior has written a Reaper Tips & Techniques article in SOS on how he uses REAPER's VCAs as trim envelopes and I was wondering why he didn't use the trim envelope. I thought it might be related to the inability to arm and record before realising they wouldn't know of the addition if it's still in prerelease. Anyway, knowing how these guys use controllers to record automation, may I ask why the trim envelope isn't "arm"-able please?

For my own use it's not so much of an issue (although it will be missed) -I tend to edit points and I'm happy with my workflow, but this is going to be questioned, if not pulled apart -they might as well continue using VCA automation and coalescing rather than editing trim envelopes and "Apply trim envelope...". Is there an easy way to add an automation mode where the fader controls the trim envelope please (and colours to indicate this)?

I know we already have "trim" as a mode which could get confusing, can we rename this "fader", "off" or "normal", and during the Read/Touch/Latch/Write modes have a button or tick-box to toggle the fader for trim volume as opposed to main volume? -maybe in a fetching blue frame or some other coloured indication? Just ideas, but if someone can think or a better UI method, please contribute.

I know we're close to RC, but it'll give Justin something to do while Schwa is tinkering with his beaming and triplets...

Edit: while we're here, is it normal for the fader not to follow the automation mode button colour now? -it used to go green for Read, yellow for Latch and red for Write -now all I get is yellow for Touch, Latch and Write.

I wonder if this is something weird on my system or if this happens with others as well: on OS X, scrolling with the MacBook Pro trackpad, notation always scrolls vertically in the opposite direction compared to the piano roll.

The piano roll follows the scroll direction setting under System Preferences / Trackpad / Scroll & Zoom, and the notation view is the opposite of the setting. Can anyone else duplicate this on their system?

Yes! Same thing here with a mouse. (https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?p=1636855)
EDIT: Re-tested on a fresh beta10 portable install with "View: Scroll vertically" mapped to Mousewheel.

Anyone manage to confirm/refute this?

Is it just another quirk of my laptop install?

Edit: I can get track1 in the MCP to show green for Read, yellow for Touch and Latch, and red for Write, but subsequent tracks are uncoloured for Read and yellow for Touch, Latch and Write.

Seems to work ok here. Here I have put each track to a different mode.

Changing the automation modes back and forth on each track, for a moment it did seem like the colors would not follow. But whatever it was "corrected" itself before I could catch and repeat the misbehavior?

Tried reboots, must be an issue with this machine or its ini or something?

Win7-64 Pro. this is actually beta 11a here.

Ok, I got what was the misbehavior on my end. The automation mode can be changed without selecting any envelope. But if done so, the colors on fader backgrounds won't change proper.

In Read mode there will be no background color.
In Touch mode it doesn't matter, color is there. Same for the Latch.
In Write mode the color will be the same as for the Touch and Latch.

So, all the above when the automation mode but no envelope has been selected. Selecting just Visible or Arm will also correct things, because they automatically also select the given envelope.

But in Write mode, if then deselecting Visible, the background goes back to the same color as in Touch/Latch even while the envelope is still selected. If you then unselect and select again the envelope, the correct color will be back.

It's a bit confusing depending on what you have clicked and when?

That makes sense. Seems to be consistent this end too.

Could do with fixing early in next pre if it's too late for the RC.
