Default Can't open reaper?

I don;t know if this is the right place for this, but whenever i try to open reaper, nothing happens. How should i go about fixing this?

Im running windows xp on some shitty acer netbook. FL studio, ableton and reason run on it fine.

I run Reaper fine on an Acer netbook.

Great when flying.

whenever i click on the icon for reaper it shows the hourglass beside my cursor then nothing happens.

Were you able to open it before and now you can't? If so what changed? Try going to the start menu (not the icon) and under Reaper there are several options. Try either Open Reaper (new project) or (reset configuration to factory defaults). Write back and give a bit more information and we will get you going.

'Start button->Programs->Reaper->Reaper (reset configuration data to factory defaults)' and 'REAPER (create new project)'

Don't know what's up. Reaper runs great on my Acer Aspire ONE netbook. Its Win 7 Starter Edition though.

Not really sure what's up, but I guess go back to basics. First make sure that you downloaded Reaper 32bit (since you are on XP) and re-install. You shouldn't need to un-install, but since it has never opened it might not be a bad idea.
Report back how you are doing.
