I so hope this gets implemented.
You can kind of vote for this feature in the linked post in my signature (or at least mention it there as well)

For now what I do is create a time selection the same size as my subproject (for me this is double click and shift on the item) and then I go up to the video track, select the video and the use the copy command. Then I paste it into the subproject item at the start.

This means you can have the video in the subproject and it will be synced until you move the subproject around, at which point you can repeat the above.

Not amazing I agree and a option for video sync with the master would be amazing.

Hey folks,

I'm not sure which thread is best for SubProject Q&A, so I'll throw it here and hope for the best

Is there any way to drag an RPP into the timeline as a media item, but have it default to creating a new copy of that project? I'm doing TV show scoring, and trying to build up a library of cues which I can drag into scenes as starting points and then customise.

I imagine I can achieve the same thing with "Save As" once I've dragged in the original, but it's a bit messy...

Thank you for the tip. Let's hope the video sync option for playing back subprojects gets implemented rather sooner than later, as this would certainly simplify things. Voted for it too.

1 Create a new project
2 Add content (this could be MIDI triggering VSTi or audio direct on the timeline)
3 Render loop
This will give users a loop that can be loaded/sliced/diced/pitched and so on, now if we take '3' out of the equation and not render but supply the entire project, not only does it allow the end user all the advantages and simplicity of working with a loop, but it also allows them to double click and edit the original content created in '2'

Not only does give advantages to the end user but also opens up a market for content suppliers (something that has never really been possible up to this point with Reaper)
Scrub that idea by the way, i assumed they had been updated from PIP and would save with the main project without creating a ton of extra .rpp, so they are terrible for delivering content to end users
