Default Fast switching Output Range in Audio settings

Hey guys, this could possibly be an ASIO question but it's under Audio Device Settings of Reaper.

So each time I sample to my MPC I need to change the Output range from Main Output L & R to Output 3 & 4.
This directs the audio from my other outputs to my MPC inputs.

Then if I want to hear audio from my PC I need to switch the outputs back.
Is there a possible way to hotkey this? Or if there is a shortcut already?
Just looking for a speedy way, it's annoying having to go into this this window so often..

I'm quite sure that these are the drivers that came with my Komplete Audio 6 card.

Do you think it's worth installing newer/different ASIO drivers?

I've attached a screenshot of the window...

Is it not possible to use the range 1-4 on in and output ?

The master track would still point to 1&2 so that you can always hear, and a second aux channel or a reainsert without return would point to output 3&4 for sampling ?

Unfortunately I can only choose 1 for fist output, and another for last output.

Do you mean choosing for Output range:
First: Main output L
Last: Output 4 R

I guess I could try that, since it's 'range'. Kinda makes sense.
I'll try this when I get home tonight.

I just tried it, When I have the output range set from 1 to 4, I hear my PC play stereo fine, but no signal is sent to my MPC (through 3 & 4).

Do you think it's possible that my soundcard can only be capable of sending a signal out of one source at a time?

It's a decent card I wouldn't think it was this limited. Maybe it's the drivers only.

Any things to try?

Could be you just forgot to actually route some audio to Outs 3 and 4.

Simplest way would be to create a "new hardware output" on the master (will look and behave like a send on the mixer's master strip) and set it to outs 3 and 4 (the one for 1 and 2 is already there by default). Choose which one to use by muting (shift+click) the one you don't want to use.

You could also create it on any track, to use it like an auxillary output.

That did it! Cheers.

Now without having to create this each time, or saving as a project, is there a way for this to load by default as a new project?

There are two ways : either save the project as a project template, or somewhere deep in the preferences, set project as standard. I usually do both ...
