Default [5.981] crash when clicking on CC

Today I encountered several crashes, triggered by the same event: double-clicking on selected CC event (in MIDI editor) with left control pressed and dragging value upwards at the same time.
When it's happening, busy pointer appears for a second and Reaper application closes.

Here is what is found in Event Viewer:

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it in empty project.
Will try to narrow it down to some options.

I found no crash dump from Reaper. This event doesn't generates crash dump.

Edit: I found a sysex (7F 7F 06 01) in my midi item. After removing it, I'm not able to reproduce the crash in original project (so far). However with the same sysex added to a new/empty project I cannot reproduce it either.
