Default MIDI Editor: Drawing note while another note is selected creates a zero length note

Not sure if this may be related to other bugs, but I've been having problems painting/drawing in MIDI notes using the mouse.

REAPER v5.27/x64, Windows 10

Steps to reproduce
- Create MIDI item
- Open in MIDI Editor
- Draw a note by left-clicking and dragging (note left selected after drawing)
- Draw another note by left-clicking and dragging

This behavior does not occur when I deselect the previous note before drawing a new one.

Thanks!

I cannot reproduce that. I'm drawing in notes all the time here and never needed to deselect previously drawn notes to avoid zero-lenght notes.
There must be something else missing in your receipt to trigger the issue, some setting or circumstance.

Thanks, gofer. Ah, you're absolutely right. I did further testing and found that the issue occurs when I load the BRSO Articulate EEL script (http://www.syntheticorchestra.com/articulatereaper/). The question then is whether this problem lies within the script (more likely) or on REAPER's side...?

Is anyone else using this script?

Thanks!
