One of the biggest confusions for me was with the take system with all of the many options under the options menu and trying to understand what each of them meant.
To me it would really help clear things up if instead of the options menu there was a takes pop-up window that had all the options there with checkboxes and drop downs and from that window each option would have a very clear caption tooltip describing what every one of the options are. There could simply be one menu item under the options menu called takes and from that all of the options would appear in a single dialog box.
I would agree, the one hurdle I have trying to get people turned on to takes in reaper is that settings need to be tweaked in three or four different places.
