Default Sort of two takes when glueing ???

I have voice track in 3 sections.

I want to glue them together, but when I do the track gets "dobbled" as though a "take" more is recorded.

I "glue" by Right-dragging over "section 1" and "section 2" and seclect "Glue items" in the Right-click menu - the same procedure with the remaining section3. Same result if I mark ALL 3 sections and the glue.

What do I do wrong here ?

Hi ksor, so you're selecting the items by right-dragging them, which is called lassoing the items.

Are the items (sections) overlapped? If so, have you got crossfades on them? If the items are overlapping, they should have crossfades on them.

I've never had any problems gluing items so I'm not sure.

Go to the top menu and click on "Options", search for a line that says "Show overlapping media items in lanes". Make sure that is unchecked.

Other than that I'm not sure.

I too have never had problems with glueing !

As I remenber I even "lassod" all sections at a time.

They are overlapping and yes, they have crossfades.

Heh heh, well it seems I've struck out on both you posts.

Did you check in the Options like I mentioned?

Humm, well I'm out of ideas, since that's never happened to me I'm not even sure where to look. I did go through the "Preferences" and "Project Settings" but couldn't find anything that looked relative.

Do you by chance have item FX on the items? I'm not sure that would matter but maybe.

Hi ksor, that might be it.

I always use ReaTune as a Track FX, so I've never encountered that.

What you could do instead of gluing them, is to add a track, set it to record it's output, and Arm it. Then route the track with the crossfaded items to that track and record the output in real time.

What do you think? If you have any questions about doing that let me know.

Tod, thx for your time here !

I know that technic - I use it for "analoging" the MIDI-tracks ;-))

I'll try it next time I get there.
