Default [CLOSED for now] Neat feature in Studio One...

https://youtu.be/uIo5SdOnqDI?si=0u6ql6Kvdb-kwepJ&t=456

aprrocx 07:30 in the video

Drag an instrument into a track and it creates an output track automatic in the mixer.

I know we can add 16 midi and 16 audio but they all show up in the mixer. In Studio One they seem to do something else. Wonder if this can be done with a script or a custom action.

So to be clear, is what you want?:
1 track for your midi VSTi visible only in the TCP sending audio to
1 track receiving audio from the track above visible only in the MCP

Is that right? That can be scripted.

By the way, I don't think that is what is going on in the video. It looks like he first creates 6 MIDI tracks (as opposed to audio tracks, because you have to pick what kind of track), and since the DAW knows there is no sound on the tracks, they do not show in the mixer. Then when he adds a VSTi, the DAW recognizes that there will be sound created on that track, and so it becomes visible in the mixer.

Thank you both. When I have think about for a day or so...I leave it as it is for now. It's not hard to create a template after all.

Case closed for now
