Default Make desktop mic work with ASIO

Hey guys,

I have a soundcard for an audio interface, it has ASIO.
And I also have a preamp.

But sometimes I just want to jot an idea down and use a cheap desktop mic.

The problem is I can't use the desktop mic when running ASIO.

Is there a workaround for this?

After jotting the idea down, I'd also like to jam out to it with a MIDI keyboard or drum pad. What sucks is when using anything besides ASIO, there's noticeable latency.

You can try ASIO4ALL, which replaces part of the "driver stack", making regular-Windows hardware "look like" ASIO to the application.

It's not true ASIO, but it might help.

Thanks, for a while I couldn't find how to enable my mic cuz it wasn't listed in the 2 input options.

The trick is to go into the ASIO4ALL GUI and enable it from there.

Then it'll be available on the input list in REAPER.
