Default MICROPHONE SANITATION!

Any tips on this? I have kids gobbing and breathing all over my 58 day in, day out. What to do? Is there a special spray? What about rubbing some of that evaporating hand-gel in - but might make it smell of the stuff?

Or should I just dip the mic in a nice big bucket of soapy water between takes, frying kids in the process?

I usually unscrew the popshield off and spray it with Glen20 (an antbacterial household smell removing spray) plus I keep a supply of replacement popshields on hand as eventually they deteriorate, rust etc.

Try this http://www.dettol.co.uk/products-for...eanser-trigger it doesn't specifically say mic popshields though
As far as I can tell Dettol makes Glen 20 for the Australian market.
Try it on the kids too, they may come up all bright and sparkly. But then again, if they're teenagers... maybe not.
