I have two bass guitars a Fender Deluxe Jazz bass (used the most)
and a slick Ibanez SDGR1000 In that iridescent green which I like the sound of sought of jazzy smooth thin strings which are getting a bit old should change them.... Should purchase a precision as well ... will have to wait money short!

Oh yea!
And I would be remiss if I didn't plug my perpetually for sale MusicMan Stingray 4. White on white. Case is well traveled but the guitar is in great shape.

blah, blah... i buy stuff on eBay all the time, but i do my homework on the sellers and the product before i get it. I play some bass, among other instruments, have a couple of bass guitars, the most recent was an Ibanez Gio short scale. I'm below avg height, so I like that aspect. I also read many posts in different bass forums where many good players take a Gio or GSR100/200 to gigs and on the airplane if they are concerned that they might damage or lose their Rickenbacker or whatever prize basses. They had good reviews of this inexpensive bass as a backup. Of course, you should try one out if there's a store, but to me, a low cost bass is a low cost bass, and I really like this one.

Yeah, I know. I want a Jazz bass, but I just can't justify a 3rd bass in the house to The Boss. So I'd like to sell it, just not bad enough to get me to actively try to sell it. But if someone were to show up at the door with some cash, I'd probably let it go.

My first bass was a USA Fender Precision. Bought it used in 1963.
Since then I have been through Travis Bean, Rickenbacker, violin bass, Fender Jazz, you name it.
And right back to where I started with my current basses. One is a P/J - alike and the other is a 62 reissue Precision!
They really do take a lot of beating.

Just bought a Fender Jazz Bass (Mexico). Very pleased with it. Can't beat Fender in my opinion.
