Parameter modulation still gets devestated by copy/pasting effects, pretty core useability issue. I hope that get's into the v5 cycle. See my signature

Still nothing on .vstpresets being displayed in subfolders as they are supposed to, following the VST3 spec and how every other VST3 supporting DAW does it?

When you press ctrl and move mouse to tempo envelope segment you will see the cursor to insert new point. Upon clicking, it will first insert new tempo marker and then allow you to adjust all selected markers.
Shouldn't you simply see a cursor to change tempo segment of all selected tempo markers instead, which upon clicking and dragging modifies values of all selected tempo points?

Just to be pedantic perhaps you should add "- Windows 10 compatibility" to one of these RC feature lists. It might provide the hand-holding some want/need.

The feature is for the tempo marker, not envelope point.

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding.
Now that I get it, this is quite a nice feature because it allows us to manipulate tempo map with mouse without actually seeing tempo envelope! Thanks!

A few releases back I was asking about search implementation for plugins list in Quick Add FX menu. As of now, I mentioned that this search is there, but it only searches with the word V because of VST or VST3 part, that usually is in front of the plugin name. It would make more sense to skip the VST phrase and only search with the actual name.

I have a better idea than that: why not use icons instead of "JS", "DX", "DXi", "VST", "VSTi", "VST3", "VST3i", "ReWire"?
Have it also in FX browser. Would be awesome, and it wouldn't look nearly as tiring to the eye. Studio One is a good example of that.

That would be nice, currently almost impossible to manage presets in a reasonable way.

Crystal clear symbols would be a requirement. The instrument symbols above only told me there are lots of pixels of differing colours. Most folks aren't as close to their screens as they used to be, especially not for audio.
Let's not forget the symbols can be wider than they are high when we think about designs for VST2/3 instruments, effects, JS and the video processor.
I certainly think it's an idea worth testing. Bring it on when 5.0 is out the door.

V5 xx /Win 32/64)
#########################
[midiedit]
shownotenames=1 ; 0 or 1
##########################
Did not work anymore.
REAPER save the option to Reaper.ini 0 or 1(off/on), but did not read out the value at a fresh start.
"Show note names on notes" -at a fresh REAPER start- is always off.

Please fix this, sorting using the prefixes VST3 and VST has really become a problem since VST3 has been introduced. Both in Quick Add FX and FX Browser

i`m not sure it is bug or not but if i set in mouse modifiers in midi piano roll section for left click any action besides "insert note-just insert"- the edit cursor moves together with click.

ilok protected VST3 x64 plugins all fail to load in this RC11.
(McDSP, Softube, SSL Duende)
Load into an empty project and all shows red as if the plug-in is bypassed.

Confirmed VST3 plugins not loading for all but the Waves VST3 plugins. x64 all the way on Win7 x64.
Voxengo, Izotope, Melda, Klangfreund, TBProAudio and Fabfilter all go offline. Waves are fine.

Yes - this must also apply to aupresets though - this has been a problem for years - time to sort it out before 5 comes out

COPYPASTE:
There is still a bug that appeared about a version (maybe in 4.75) ago (and wasn't fixed).
1. Open MIDI Editor with any content
2. Maximize MIDI Editor window
3. Perform action: "zoom to content" - BUG!: Notes are only zoommed in horizontally and zommed OUT vertically
Behaviour depends on size of velocity/CC lane. If it's big, everything zooms ok, if it's smaller vertically, vertical zoom is broken.

VST3 "linear" knob mode
setting the knob mode to "Linear" seems to have no effect on VST3's. ...or have i missed something.
altho the Klanghelm VST3 plugs seem to have linear knob behaviour. maybe thats just a feat. of the plugs.
