When I did the default 4 theme, screens were a lot smaller so the centered setting was less meaningful, sorry. The Default 5 theme does do this properly, so you could just copy the WALTER and images from there.

Default rtconfig.txt --- where???

Rednroll,

Thank you for the time & effort you made to reply to my query, but I've no idea where to look for this *rtconfig.txt* file you reference in your reply. I looked for it in my REAPER installation folder in C:\Program Files, as well as in the REAPER folder in the C:\Users\user\App Data\Roaming - it simply doesn't exist... What is the default location of this file???
Sorry, I'm a long time user of REAPER as my main DAW, but a complete noob when it comes to tweaking it theme- & config-wise - so any extra pointers you might offer will be deeply appreciated.

Mark

[QUOTE=Rednroll;2480457]I haven't seen Commala around in awhile. However, I have been working on a revised version currently and am familiar with how to adjust this.

This is likely the simplest way to get what you're after. You will want to go into the rtconfig.txt file and find this line.

set trans.margin [2 2 2 2]

See White Tie's Theming post part 2.

The rtconfig.txt file is inside of a zipped file named Default_Commala_5.ReaperThemeZip file. You will need to unzip that file, which will then display the theme's content folder. The rtconfig.txt file is inside of that content folder.

If you did a non portable install, the Default_Commala_5.ReaperThemeZip file location is
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Reaper\ColorThem es\

Default Weird pan button

Hi there,

For some reason, Commala's pan pots look weird. They looked fine before, but now they're a sort of + sign. Please check the attachments.

I'm using Reaper version 6.69 on macOS Monterey. Not sure when the pan pots changed.

I reinstalled both Reaper and the Commala theme but it didn't fix it.

Anyone know what's going on?

That doesn't look like Commala 5.

I'm using the dark one and there are a few modifications - but it's very different, especially the pan knob.

Yes that's the thing the pan knob is weird, it used to be the round one, and now it's this weird slider! I didn't edit the theme or anything, it's very puzzling.

That's weird - isn't it?
Maybe something happened to whatever the pan knob file is - and it's just showing a default.
Do you have a backup of that folder you can restore from?
Or maybe a restore from "preferences"?

Try upgrading to 12.6.1, this solved the panpot issues for me.
