Default Spectral + Export Analysis

Just ran into an article of a german news page, where a new Ardour feature is mentioned: (Post) Export Analysis of the files - http://www.gearnews.de/ardour-4-7-na...r-der-analyse/

Is it possible to implement in Reaper?

Maybe the general spectral analysis as well?

Just as example with maaany audio clips:

Should be possible via a Lua script.

No, I don't need another workaround or custom script. It should be implemented inside Reaper from the devs. Thats why I am in this forum section.

I'd love to be able to select spectrum display as an alternative to peak display. I think this has come up before, it would be useful during editing to quickly toggle the item display (or possibly even overlay peaks on spectrum).

I think the abilty to create the spectrograms would be possible in Lua, but any implementation to include them in the item/take object itself as a bitmap or however, would bound to be clunky.

+1 for this as a native feature.

This has to be native really. Spectral views would be quite intensive, so you wouldn't want all items like that at same time if you expect the UI to be responsive to changes.

In DP, tracks have a view mode, one of which is spectral view. Can even have both at same time.
