Default Blurry gifs on Mac

Hi, I just started using LICEcap and my images are coming out pretty blurry.

Here, you can see a GIF i've recorded:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...4/test2344.gif

and here is a screenshot directly from OSX:

I have tried several apps, all with the same result. Here are a few specs, i'm not really sure what else I can provide that would help figure out the issue:

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)
OSX El Capitan 10.11.2
Resolution: 1440x900
Graphics: Intel Iris 1536 MB

Is it possibly related to the downsizing via retina?

Installed Windows10 recently on my mac as a partition and downloaded LICECAP for windows. Works perfect, so theres definitely something with the OSX version of LICECAP or the OSX itself.
