Default Guitarist, singer

I play mainly acoustic guitar and a bit of electric. I sing a bit.
I have a full recording setup with electric drums, mics, multiple very realistic soft samplers.
I write alot of my own songs and often play or program everything in them.
I am looking for bassists pianists and acoustic and electric drummers. I like to mix.

I play smoth rock like Crowded House, Coldplay and ED Sheeran, Also like to go for a bit of FooFighters/JimmyEatworld sound.

Happy to collab on anything that could use my skills and sound.
I love to mix too.
Here are some of my recordings:

I play lead electric guitar as well as some rhythm electric guitar. I play mainly rock, metal, funk, a bit of jazz and also pop sometimes. My main influence is Andy Timmons, Paul Gilbert, Misha Mansoor, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Brian Culbertson, etc. I can record electric guitar with ease using real tube amp and real pedals. Just shoot me messages if you need help with a guitar track, I'll be happy to help!

I'll toss it out there one more time.

I'm a guitarist/bassist/drummer/really bad keyboardist. Into the real soul/R&B, neo-retro and original. Pre-L.A. Motown, Stax/Volt, Philly, jazzy funk.
Even the Brits who "get it". Jamiroquai, Mark Ronson, Brand New Heavies, et al.

Making original music, lyrics and melody.

Need everybody. Horns, good keys, live drums, singers, programmers, and anyone who wants to have a good time making great music.

Anyone who has 'ears-on' experience writing horn charts would be appreciated.

Starting a virtual collective of like-minded people tired of the same ol' same ol'. Need to get to some good grooves, and willing to co-write with composers and lyricists.

No cash yet. Let's do what we love, and let the money follow.

Guitars, bass, vocals, and little synth works.
Not a shredder (i would like to...)

You can check my little yt channel here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQmK3vUZT3A
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSB-gXku8UE

My tastes are going to Rock, Metal, Prog but i try to discover other things too.
I do my best to listen to other collab fellows and their wantings, very hard on myself and my worst critics. The side effect of it is collab fellows have sometime to be patient, for example when i am searching the best vocals i can make, i often trash my own work until everything is ok for me.

I am opened to any collab, but i am short on time actually (until July 2015).
I mostly got involved on online collabs instead of real bands because it allows people to take time, but also to meet foreign musician and have a pleasant time working or chatting together 2 to 4 times a month, for example.

I am english and french speaking.

C ya !

Default EDM Collab

Hey.I am a intermidiate EDM producer from Norway..I just starting out with Reaper, but i have used Bitwig since the release in 2014 and Ableton live a few years before that. But i really like the features in Reaper.
I`m mainly producing glitch hop, dubstep, complextro(electro)but also like other genre as well, like progressive psy trance,deep\future house a little drum and bass etc..Would be cool to collab with someone on the same level or better with the same taste of music.I am working on a dubstep remix
in Reaper at the moment, but its not finished yet,i will put it on here when its done..If you like to collab send me a link to your work and maybe we can make a track together..I think it could be a great way to learn.
here is my latest track(not made in reaper) https://soundcloud.com/k-nizm/k-nizm...e-like-a-freak

I am a 40+ year bass player mostly Jazz uprighty stuff but lately EUB work (electric Upright Basses) and also tapping (Stick, Megatar), Kalimba, and Baglama (Turkish stringed instrument). I also mess with wooden woodwinds and small hand drums... but not Tabla!

Influences are Jaco, Dave Holland, Miles Davis, Eberhard Weber, **** Zula, and a host of others!

I can play really damn fast bass, and solo, but I really dig a good groove above all, one that "fits" the song like a well worn shoe...

-Dave.

I don't know what genre it's in but I'm inspired by a lot of great musicians I look up to (tom waits, jeff buckley, Billie holliday, calexico, beirut... to name a few) and imagery like old timey town bizarres and tent revivals.

things I do well, in order of experience/confidence:
vocals
lyrics
production/songwriting
drums
guitar

online collab would be cool, but finding some people in the twin cities would be awesome. it's been a few months since I've focused on making new music but would love to find some people and work on a fresh project as well as see where the songs I've written could go with more input and instrumentation.

I was looking at the link you provided and was curious about Ge.tt. I'm always looking for free ways to archive stuff on the internet. So I clicked on TERMS and starting reading the TERMS OF SERVICE: 2 File Upload and Content Rule:

BY UPLOADING CONTENT TO THE KEEPIT SERVICE, YOU GRANT TO KEEPIT, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION KEEPIT'S SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, A NON-EXCLUSIVE, PERPETUAL, IRREVOCABLE, SUB-LICENSABLE, TRANSFERABLE, WORLDWIDE, PAID-UP RIGHT TO STORE AND REPRODUCE SUCH CONTENT ON THE KEEPIT INTERNET SERVERS AND TO ACCESS THE USERS' COMPUTER FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCESSING THE CONTENT THAT THE USERS HAVE SAVED WITH KEEPIT.

Now that is scary stuff right there, don't you think?

A few things come to mind:

1) What can these people do with your songs? Assuming they are still yours...
2) Once they get millions of files (user data) they are bound to sell the server content to a SUCCESSOR and, perhaps, this is where the sh*t hits the fan. Again, what happens to your songs?
3) WTF?! is this:AND TO ACCESS THE USERS' COMPUTER FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCESSING THE CONTENT Can they really get inside your computer? I'm not a computer geek, but when we 'select a file' in our hard drive to upload to a server, does this open a permanent door that can be used at will?

Now. All this has got me thinking about other sites I've been using like Soundcloud, for example. Us artists work so hard to write and record our songs, and then we upload them to share them with friends, but what about copyrights and all?

Hmmm... It's back to the drawing board for me. I need to figure this out real fast before I do anything else.

I suppose I will throw myself in this thread even though no one else has in over a year and Im really new here.
I play guitar. Mostly rock/metal. Not a technical guy here just a hobbyist for 30 yrs off and on. Never learned to read sheet music but can figure out tab.
I can come up with some pretty catchy hooks and riffs.
I can write cheesy lyrics but lyrics are not my forte.
Cant carry a tune if it were in a bucket for singing but I can yell pretty good. If you want cookie monster on helium I'm your guy.

I play primarily electric guitar. I have played on hip-hop stuff but prefer to play rock stuff (https://armsliketrees.bandcamp.com). These are 2 demos where I played in standard, but because some of the notes were hard to hit, I now tune down 1/2 a step.

I am told I should sing more, but I am not sure how I feel about that.

I also program drums via Superior Drummer 3.

I'm not very good at mixing...yet...

Hi Olegnik, I just wanted to tell you I thoroughly enjoyed your video, it brought back some great memories. I seldom hear good accordion music any more.

I produced 4 albums for a well known accordion player back in the 70s and 80s, his name was Jim Howerton and was one of the best at the time. I was pretty
well versed in music, music theory and such. But every time Jim came in it was always a challenge and I learned so much.

You're the first accordion player I've heard anytime recently that actually plays the accordion.

Good luck with your venture.

Yeah, one of the coolest song. Despite the synths which aren't not necessary. The guitar is. Well done Oleg. Ah, "l'indifférence".

If any musicians would like to create up some source instrument/drum tracks to share for other users to create up tracks for their projects, take a look at ReaTrak

https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=212645
The source instrument track is recorded over a lot of progressions and keys,
ReaTrak will then fit chords from the source track to fit their chord progression in REAPER.

Throwing my hat in the ring. Guitars (Clapton, Knopfler, all the Beatles, Santana, Chicago blues, 70s/80s pop, adult contemporary, R&B Motown/Stax/Muscle Shoals, etc.), acoustics, and vox. If it has a strong melody, I'll probably be able to work with it. If you need something classic, vintage, rootsy, psychedelic, funky, maybe a singing lead guitar solo or two, I might be able to accommodate. Questions welcome.

Here's a basic recording template A-Test-Record-play-anywhere&verse-chorus_regions_markers.zip
it's in A but you can select all the chords with time selection and click "Transpose Chord Selection" to change it to the next key to record to.
I made one a verse and chorus you record record in the style for verse and chorus the other is red play anywhere so it will fit the same style you recorded over all different song section colors,
it has an ending for verse and chorus.
You can change it to any progression you like, just try and cover the basic chords.

These are only basic for you to try, you can create more advanced ones with fills so whatever you play in the fill will be matched, you can also link sections with -L1 -L2 -L3 etc. this will match these section to the user's progression. You can create more variety of endings, you can play some pickup/intro notes in the count-in(s).

You can create a backing to record to by selecting some drums and bass from the
https://www.reatrak.com/downloads/test_files/
If you create up a backing track to record to and you are using the red play anywhere template
just change it to the verse color first so it fits the backing track instruments, then when you save the play anywhere region chord csv for the wav change all the regions to red pay anywhere color except pink count-in and verse and chorus endings, this is done by clicking the color song section or "Play Anywhere" button, it will then move to the next region so it's quick to do.

If you record DI Direct Input you will get better results without the sustain bleeding into the next bar, FX can be added after it has been fitted to the user's chord progression.

Save the regions.csv in the region manager or "Export\Renumber Chords" button (this will also snap chords to the grid in case they are out) and rename to same name as the recorded wav.
Put your instrument tracks in a folder with name format eg.
X:\ReaTrak Instruments\Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Classic Rock 01 Ev8 4-4 120bpm
Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Classic Rock 01 Ev8 4-4 120bpm C-Am.csv
Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Classic Rock 01 Ev8 4-4 120bpm C-Am.wav

You need this in the name format:

4-4 is time signature
120bpm is tempo
C-Am is Key

To try them out
enter your chord progression and color the regions for the song part,
select all regions with the time selection,
click Choose Instrument button and choose the wav you recorded,
click ReaTrak Selection,
it should fit the instrument to your chords.
If it's all good you can upload and share/collab.

Hey all!

Electric bass is my forte, y multiple styles though rock has dominated my career. Open to a lot more, though! https://www.enriquemancia.com/ I'm endorsed by Marleaux Bass Guitars, hand crafted instruments from Germany.

I'm also an audio engineer, comfortable with recording, mixing, and mastering.

Cheers!
