Default ASIO Problem

Hello Reaper support
I am really sorry to bother you
I am new to this Reaper.
My interface is TASCAM 4x4
When I go to Audio Device setting
Audio System ASIO
Input device Microphone 2-US 4x4
Output Device Speakers 2-US 4x4
Sample format 16 Bit
Input Channel 2
Output Channel 2
Sample rate 44100 h2
Buffer 8 x 1024 Samples
Audio Threat Pririty Normal
(No Check Mark) Allow project to Override device sample rate
It does Not highlight (Apply) to save it.
When I say ok and turn off computer
Then I turn on my computer
My Audio System changed to Wave out . It is not ASIO.
Because It didn’t let me to Apply before.
Please let me know What should I do?
Thank you
Kind Regards
Moe

Weird, first line says audio system ASIO, but all the next lines look like settings for waveout or directsound (ASIO will never show you "8 x 1024 samples", buffer size will be a single number). If you switch the audio system clicking OK should be enough for reaper to remember the settings.

Is the Tascam interface powered up before you start the computer? I've found on mine that if the interface (a presonus 1818 usb) is not powered when the computer starts it defaults to a different audio device.
