Default Insert space

Hiya

When I select an area then select "Insert empty space in selection" the empty space is inserted AFTER the section

I dont remember this happening before is this normal?

And when it does this it clips the ends of any split items and moves them after the end of the newly inserted space.

This has gotta be a preference setting can anyone give me a clue?
Got the latest reaper.
cheers

I tried it on another machine and it behaves as expected, inserting at the selection. I will compare the reaper options screens side by side. cheers

Gidday. Ripple editing is turned off.Good idea though

Actually appears to be specific to this project
I can reproduce it with earlier versions of reaper, on more than one computer..

I can work around it by zooming out first - Insert Empty Space then inserts correctly within the timeline selection

I cant reproduce it with any of my other projects. Wonder if its a user problem wahah. Thanks again
