Default Missing the Fl Studio Piano Roll

Hello,

I started demoing reaper yesterday because I wanted a DAW with a lane based workflow.

Having tried out FL Studio before, I realized that the pattern based workflow may not be suited for my orchestral music production needs. I wanted my DAW to resemble the notation staff in terms of workflow - each instrument having its individual lane, from left to right and FL Studio wasn't the way to go in terms of that.

I really liked the simplicity and ease of setting up a template in Reaper and I am seriously considering using it as my primary DAW. I was told that there are no innate articulation switcher in reaper (similar to expression maps in cubase), so I am considering using the reaper version of BRSO articulate plugin.

However, what I miss in reaper is the simplicity and ease of use of Fl Studio piano roll. Since I do not use a MIDI controller, I use mouse clicks in piano roll to insert notes. Fl Studio was perfect for that kind of job and I am having trouble familiarizing myself with the MIDI Editor of Reaper. What I am looking for is simple things like this:
Left click - add a note
Right click - remove a note
click on a note and then click anywhere else - duplicate the note there
resize the note from left and right
and additional functions like randomize, arpeggiate, strum, claw, riff, etc.

I read somewhere that Reaper is highly customizable. I will be extremely grateful if anyone can help me out by guiding me to options to emulate the Fl Studio piano roll in Reaper.

Note : I may not have spent enough time with the Reaper MIDI editor, so its possible that i may be missing some obvious options here.

Resize left and right is already there. Has been for as long as I can remember.

Hover over the note(s) you want to change & when you get a left arrow as cursor you can pull out the length to the left, when you get a right arrow you can pull it out to the right.
There are other cursor options, but you will have to "read the f** manual" for the rest of them

I had no issues with not resize, I am not sure now why I put it in the post.

Manual reading is something I am planning to do soon.
