Default assign effect to multiple tracks at once

i use waves NLS to simulate analog summing. waves have modeled a lot of channels on 3 different consoles. the intention is to insert 1 instance on every DAW-track, but with DIFFERENT channel models - because on a real console, every channel varies a bit in distortion, noise etc.
overall, this adds a bit more analog depth to the mix.

now: if i select multiple tracks in CUBASE, i can assign NLS to all at once AND cubase will automatically increase the modeled channel number.

how can i achieve this in reaper? as far as i see, i not only have to insert NLS track by track - i also have to open each fx window afterwards to increase the modeled channel# manually, which is a pain in the a** on bigger projects...

??? How is this supposed to work ?

Most VST's don't support a variable c0ount of channels.

Yes, via SWS Resources panel, you can apply FX chains to selected tracks.

or ReaPack/mpl/FX/mpl_Insert focused FX to selected tracks, preserve parameters.lua

Changing channel modes seems also possible if you can change it in raw plugin GUI (only faders). Maybe made a gif what are you doing step by step

If you open NLS, click Params at the top, FX Parameter List, "Show in track controls", does the channel mode show up in the list of parameters at all?

@mschnell - he's not talking about channels as in 1/2, 3/4. NLS models something like 96 different channels of an analog desk - different components, crosstalk, noise, etc, the idea being that you have it on all your tracks and each instance is slightly different.
