Default Korg MS-20 crashes Reaper x64

MY Korg MS-20 VSTi now crashes Reaper consistently.

Reaper x64 version 3.31, using bridged mode.
32-bit Korg MS-20 VSTi 1.10 (last no-dongle version)

I have the Hardware USB MS-20 controller.

All the other Korg plugins seem to work fine. Just the MS-20 kills Reaper, as soon as it tries to generate audio.

Can anyone else reproduce this?

The Korg MS-20 VST crashes Reaper for me as well.

Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit
Reaper v3.73/x64 rev e6b9ce
Korg MS-20 and MS-20FX v1.24 (VST and VSTi, 32-bit, x86 bridged mode)

Adding the MS-20FX to a track causes Reaper to hang and eventually crash. Adding the MS-20 to a track causes Reaper to crash immediately. This happens even in a new project, placing the VST / VSTi on an empty track.

Anybody know a solution to this?

Haven't found a solution yet. I am not sure whose problem it is, the plugin's or Reaper's. All I know is the new versions that were released recently have not fixed the issue.

It's ironic that I had just bought the upgrade to MS-20 1.24 ($15) hoping that it would fix the issue, but alas no.

If there's any logs or anything that I could send in to help diagnose the problem I would be more than willing.

Confirm M1, Wavestation and MS-20 crashing reaper (x64) (newest verions).
Workarounds: M1 and Wavestation can be run without problems in version 1.32. Newest LegacyCell still can run MS-20 inside reaper, flawlessly.

The M1 and Wavestation work for me in Reaper. The MS-20 and MS-20FX both crash consistently. The MS-20 does work inside the LegacyCell, as Reaktor:[Dave] mentioned.

You all seem to run REAPER 64-bit so the plug-in is being "bit-bridged", which it maybe doesn't like. Does it crash in REAPER 32-bit as well? (Please see http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=84829 on installing another REAPER version in parallel to test.)

Also as per usual, a crash log could help making sure what's going on there (please see here: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=36653), but in this case it seems that compatibilty with Windows 7 64-bit in first place might not be given in all cases. Please see here:

I know this is an old thread, but I've confirmed that the Korg VSTs are also crashing for me in Reaper 64

Just moved from 32 bit to x64 and MS-20 & MS-20FX are crashing for me too.

LegacyCell, MonoPoly, PolySix all working fine - so what's different about the MS-20 standalone, I wonder?

The giveaway is that the red 'LED' stops pulsing after a few seconds.

Tried all the dedicated/sep process etc compatibility + non-bridged of course.

Anyone managed to get it working?

MS-20 crashing here too. All others working fine. Hmmm.... I can firmly remember this NOT happening in some of earlier versions of Reaper 4 (or 3).

It works in standalone. I'll try FLS later on.

Any ideas besides installing an old .DLL and using 32bit reaper?

Wait for Cockos to fix whatever causes it, since Korg probably won't?

I remember MS-20 working in older versions of Reaper 4 for sure. In fact, I'm gonna try installing v4.00 portable and see what happens right now.

EDIT: Seems that was 32-bit Reaper that I remember, then. Crashes even v4.00, clean.

Bump.

Cockos, you used to be fast in solving crash-related bugs before. What happened with this one?

Doesn't crash it any more after the last update but, it didn't remember my patch and goes to defult. Also the monopoly behaves strange: the knobs are very slow to move and seems to slow down the whole computer.

Can't confirm both of these.

Default Korg Nano-Kontroller series

All korg products seem to have some usb/sync problems with Reaper in my experience. When I use any of their hardware with Reaper my Asio keeps restarting, such that actually making music/using audio streams becomes impossible. That's life.
