I have compiled it now for both 32-bit and 64-bit.
But as I only have 32-bit Windows, I cannot test the 64-bit version. Please test it, if it works the same as 32-bit.

Great stuff Sergenious!
I am testing Reaper x86 and Reaper x64 on XP x64 here. Both work exactly the same, just a couple of issues I am seeing.....
Soundcloud doesn't appear to like the .wav if Wave is selected as Soundcloud output format. Soundcloud displays this error....
Quote:
Sorry, this track is too hot for us!
Oh, damn! We couldn't create the waveform for your track. We're checking it right now and will try to fix it asap!
|
.... over where the waveform in Soundcloud should be and there is no Play button.
No issues with Ogg Vorbis export getting to Soundcloud. The only issue is that the render is slower than real time here, whereas exporting using the standard Ogg format is always faster the realtime (about 0.7x with Soundcloud Ogg export, around 1.9x with normal Ogg export).
Nice one!

In 64-bit version, or both? In 32-bit version it works here. Which sample rate and number of channels did you use?

I used 3rd party OGG/Vorbis libraries, which are probably the same as everywhere else. But, this seems that maybe some platform specific optimization should be specified while compiling, I will check the documentation.

This is 44.1kHz Stereo, R4b9 and R4b10 in both x86 and x64 over her (on XP x64).
Interestingly, when I check "Add items to new tracks...." in the Render dialogue, neither Ogg or Wav import with Reaper giving the error dialogue.... "Error opening media to add to project".
The rendered Ogg files is playable by Reaper and VLC though and I can drag them in from the Media Explorer. The Wav files are not importable into Reaper and can't be played by VLC either.
Exporting with ordinary WAV or OGG Vorbis modes results in automatic importing as expected.
So what is happening over here is....
1. The import isn't happening for Ogg or Wav when "Add items to new tracks...." is enabled.
2. When the Wav format is selected, the resulting file is corrupted in some way.
I hope this helps and sorry for being a corner-case PITA.
Is anyone else on XP x64 and getting this with either 32 bit or 64 bit Reaper?

When adding the support for 64-bit, I really made a mistake with Wave file, which worked before.
Now I have fixed the bug. Please download again and test again.
I have also found optimized ogg vorbis library, but only for 32-bit system, so now it is 5x time faster than before. 64-bit is still slow.

Now I tried with wav rendering and get the same error on Soundloud as Captain.
I uploaded the track as private - maybe you can reproduce it.
Originally it is recorded as 44100 and 24bit.
I have a free account.
Rendering speed is also dropping in my project from 2.1x realtime to realtime only (double slower).
+ use the reaper 4 beta 9

Hi, thanks for checking it out. Unfortunately the symptoms are the same as before with the unreadable .wav and the error when import to new track is enabled. edit: with x64 and x86 Reapers.
I have attached (a small) one of the apparently corrupted wav files here to this post if you want to have a look.
Thanks again.
edit: I had to zip the file to attach it.

I am apologizing, it seams that my latest upload in Stash was not successful, the file was not replaced
Please try again now. It seams that now I replaced the ZIP file in Stash successfully.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Next time I'll always download back the file and check if correct.

Excellent, that's the wavs sorted out... great stuff.
The only remaining issue is just the error on reimport now with the "Add...." checkbox ticked (and the slow(er) ogg in x64).
Thanks for all the work.

Reaper requires that plugins provide their file extension. That's why I'm using ".soundcloud". But this extension is unreadable in the OS, and also in Reaper, as I didn't implement the import functions. So I'm adding .wav and .ogg extension to the filename, just to allow files to be playable on the operating system. But Reaper don't know about this added extension. Even without that, file wouldn't ever be importable, so it really doesn't matter. Unfortunately.

No worries, this is a great addition as is - I just wouldn't have been doing my duties as a premier league beta tester if I wasn't thorough.
Thanks again.

Optimized OGG now also for 64-bit version.
URL of the uploaded track is copied to the clipboard.

With the extension plugin by Sergenious, you can directly upload to Soundcloud from Reaper's render dialog. (It also appears to work when recording on tracks in Reaper... )

with this convenience of uploading i can imagine many morning-afters where you go to check out that bit of genius you uploaded from the night before only to find you've uploaded a load of old tripe and everyone is happy to tell you so!
handy bit of work tho - my main system i still keep sans-internet, cos it tends to breaks things sooner rather than later (or is that paranoia), but good quick shares of ideas and stuff for sure.
thanks

Just downloaded the Soundcloud uploader, seems like a great plugin! Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't really figure out, where to fill in my user details. Thanks!

Would it be possible to add FLAC as an option ?
The sound should be better than OGG, and the file smaller than with WAV... And i think it is an open-source format, too.
