Is this in 3/4 or 6/4.anyway the melody is played on a Copeland low D Irish whistle by the better half.

Listened earlier today, very nice work Bob. My phones are bassy anyway but sounds fine to me, cheers.

Thanks for listening morgon.i listened on the car music system which is a pretty good system and the bass seemed too dominant in places so I've turned it down a tiny bit and tweaked a few other things.

Writing as I'm listening. I like it (listened to the version in the OP). The Irish whistle sounds beautiful. I'm curious how you recorded it. Nice lines in the bass. Solid rhythm in the ac guitar (could have a richer tone, perhaps). I love the fiddle when it comes in. And also the tone of the eclec gtr, though its line eventually gets a little busy for the arrangement IMO. Cool sound, none the less. The number of instruments keeps growing after that, heh. I like that - an eclectic approach. The trill on the elec gtr at the end was a nice touch. At the beginning, if it were my production, I'd start at :12 where the Irish Whistle comes in and let it build from there.

Difficult to add more than has been said above but I agree especially about the intro and the busy guitar. But what the hell it's a great piece of work.

Timothy,
I used two Rode NT5 mics left and right and a Rode NT2 mic in the middle for the Low whistle.I added a touch of reverb to one of the 3 Whistle tracks and the other two were dry.
Its a mystery to me why I put that intro at the beginning.Seemed a good idea at the time!
Thanks for the positive feedback fellas!
I've been out of commission for a few weeks or Id have replied sooner.

all the best
