Default Re mapping midi channel notes live

Hi,
I need to work out a way that I can use Reaper to change channel for incoming midi notes on midi ch1 and pass them out immediately on ch2 for example. My reason for this is that I am sending from Reaper CC to the two outboard synths on two different channels because they need to respond to their own CCs and not each others. One is a rack synth and the other is a keyboard synth, so the keyboard synth has to be able to send midi notes to the rack but it can't send and receive on different channels unfortunately. So if I can remap the midi notes in real time (latency excepted) I should be able work around this limitation, I hope.

Maybe have a look at using the JS: MIDI Router/Transpose plugin for this.
Or using a track send (and changing the MIDI send channel there).

If you're using MIDI Hardware outputs in the Track-I/O: Using [Send to channel 2] might also work.

Otherwise can you post more details about how your current MIDI routing or track-I/O settings in Reaper look like ...
