Default Free VST - Said to be good for ambient

Free VST - Normally 49 USD - Information from Virtual Guitar Forums
Just thought I'd let you know that Surreal Machines is offering the Diffuse Delay effect, which regularly sells for $49.00, in VST/AU plugin formats for PC and Mac as a completely free download from their website until June 8th. It is said to be great for Ambient Guitar.

All the information is on the VirtualGuitarForums DOT ... website located under General Discussion Area or just go to SureallMachines website.

Sorry for not posting the complete links. I had copied the text from a YouTube comment I made because YT doesn't always allow links and I forgot to add the full link back in the above message. I did not receive any notification or I would have corrected the post yesterday.

Thanks for the heads up on this.
I have a nice collection of delay plugins, including cheap/free 'n nasty, to quite expensive.
So I was a little reluctant to check this out but I'm glad I did.
All the usual features are present with a couple of unusual ones, "Pump" being one of them.
The install was painless with no annoying bits.
I have spent less than an hour with it so far and will be using it a lot in the future.
Highly recommended, thanks again.
Peace.

@ pryere ___ appreciate the comments and comparisons. Picked this up, but also have several solid Delays.
Will spend some time with this now ...

My pleasure. Be sure to check out the "hold" function.
I always do quick recorded tests with new tools. I felt compelled to share one as a way of gratitude.

Thanks for the heads up on this Kokopelli. I have downloaded it but not yet installed it. Looks like an interesting addition to the toolkit.

Yup I have several quality delays including H-delay, Tritik TKDelay and NI Replica free. Each One is different and useful in its own unique way. I've been lusting after Echoboy Jr and missed it when it was $50. But the more I think about it the more I cant justify the purchase. What does it give me that the others don't?

Anyway Diffuse seems to be another excellent addition due to its unique features like hold and pump (which is sorta like ducking). It also does the diffuse echoverb thing (hence the name) although Replica does this as well.

Its funny... I bought Hdelay on sale for like $30 a few years ago because there were no good, simple, free delays that did what I wanted. For instance Readelay does NOT do ping pong which is an odd omission for an otherwise excellent, but vanilla delay. Since then there has been NI replica free, the STAdelay free and now Diffuse free. Its an embarrassment of riches in the free delay realm.

Here's a heads-up that the VST2 version is crashing SONAR. The VST3 version is working fine for everyone. One user is contacting Surreal Machines about the issue.
