I'm not liking the new installer.

I always want to choose which components I'm going to install.

What components is it not giving you choices to install anymore? Did you expand the "option functionality" menu?

The new installer fixed this strange issue I always had with the Reaper installer where it took several seconds (sometimes up to 30) for anything to happen after the executable was started. I never had noticed this with other programs. Whatever that was, it's fixed now.

A number of items like Media Explorer, CD Burning, Control Surface support have been taken off the optional install list, presumably now included in the Required Files category. On the other hand, JS FX are now optional.

Either way, I don't see it as a big deal ...

Agreed. I think the things you mentioned as now being automatically included make sense, they certainly won't pass for "bloat"...lol. Many people choose to leave things out of the installation and then post on the forum not knowing why something went missing.....

I used to get this too, but not since two or three versions ago.

Will this help for Waves plugins?

+ JSFX: increase slider control refresh rate

Information in the JS: Audio Statistics plug-in now refreshes like greased lightning. A little too fast, perhaps. Any chance of an option to slow it down again?

I used to have the TAB key set to close the Media Explorer but it stopped working a few versions ago. Any chance of getting this back?

Why this? Because some users complain about missing stuff? I don't really like that change.

Thanks for the update, especially for adding/loading JSFX from project_path.

Yeah I can share the sentiment but for me it's not hard to just make a script to remove the components after a portable install... because unlike JSFX library they don't replace anything already there.

(i.e remove CD burning and other useless stuff for me; even if I were to use CDs I'd use another burning program etc)

Running El Capitan here, and with this most recent update everything is more stable than ever.
I was planning on looking for help here this weekend but this update fixed it. One of my projects had been consistently crashing on close.

Thanks for continuing to support us all with such a great product!

Thanks so much for this one! I didn't think there were many DM2000 users out there at all, but I'm one of the few guys you made happy with this.

Bank switching only affects the first 8 faders, though, but I'm still pleasantly surprised and quite happy.

Thank you all for your amazing work !

I've been reading the User Guide, and I've learnt a lot of mixing techniques thanks to it. That and Kenny's videos make this great and deep piece of software far more approachable. Really great !
