things that you can do in FL studio that you can't do with Reaper?
can you tell me things that you can do in FL studio that you can't do with Reaper?
and if there are some, can you provide solutions so that we can use reaper on its own?
thanks

Might do better with this in a forum with a majority of FL users rather than a majority of Reaper users?

The workflow of reap and fl are so different even with free item positioning. The only two features i can think of
Vst3, which don't care for, and you can over lay an audio waveform into the piano roll.
The list of what fl studio can't do is enormous but not really the point they are so different in approach

The three major advantages of FLS are the drag and drop step sequencer, which is fluid and intuitive and flexible; the media browser, which is incorporated seamlessly; and the piano roll, which is lightning fast to edit in. Some of the plugins are pretty fun too, like SliceX and Edison. I use it rewired into reaper as I can't stand most everything else about it.
People who say Reaper's MIDI functions are subpar should try recording audio in FLS.

IMO, REAPER handles audio recording better than FLS and FLS handles MIDI editing better than REAPER, so I typically use FLS as a VSTi in REAPER for the best of both worlds.
@for, you can demo FLS here: http://www.image-line.com/downloads/...odownload.html
FLS is essentially a pattern-based vs. a linear sequencer like REAPER. Very different workflow.

Yeah that's about where I'm at too, except that Reaper's MIDI is usable in a pinch, whereas FLS's audio capabilities are mind-bendingly bad.

I'm surprised, and curious.... what's wrong with them?
