Default Editing while using the new lane function

Reaper has now added multiple lane functioning (like Cubase) to help with comping during the tracking purpose. This helps to keep everything organized and in Cubase there is an editing process, which really makes testing out our various takes, very easy and efficient. For those who have not seen the video, check it out (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2Xk6YoZ3vM), but essentially you splice each of your takes into the same size chunks and than mute the ones you don’t want to hear.

What I want to know is there an editing process similar to Cubase for managing these multiple lane takes?

If so , how specifically, does it work in Reaper

If not, I have a feature request

I was just goofing around with this. If you have multiple takes in lanes, you can slice them "s" where you want, then click on the take you want (for each slice) that makes it active. Or you can right click and pick the active one from a list. When your happy with your comp, you can drag a loop around the whole mess and right click, crop to active take(s). All the "bad" takes go away.

After that, you can glue the items back together.

Super fast!

I found that once I wrapped my head around the Reaper methodology, I became quicker at comping than I was ins SX3 and C4. Although, for sound design, the steinberg toolset is still better. ie, if you need to replace a sibilant or plosive letter, in C4 you can cut copy past and drag and drop lane elements freely. In reaper, you cannot.
