REAPER 5: Users Created New Features — Showcase of the most Notable Scripts
Hi !
I just wrote an article to showcase the most noticeable things that have been accomplished with ReaScript during the elaboration of REAPER 5.
I'm pretty sure it can interest some of you
REAPER 5: Users Created New Features — Showcase of the most Notable Scripts / ExtremRaym
Cheers !

Really cool!
If this doesn't prove the power of ReaScript than I don't know what will!

Agree, cool.
Question: Did you mean "most noticeable" as in, "highly visible", or "most notable" as in "things of note to pay attention to or go look at"?

@epicsounds
Thanks, that's all the point
@Lawrence
Did you mean I mistranslated what I wanted to say ? Damn.
I wanted to say that "you have to pay attention to these ones". "these ones are cool". "you have to watch this".
How would you say that in proper english ? ^^ most notable ? I edit the post name :P

Yeah, the word you're going for is "notable" - "noticeable" usually means "obvious" or "easy to see".

IDK what's going on with that page, but trying to read it from my phone it kept flashing in and out and then crashed Safari. I'm sure it's not your fault except in that you've chosen a crappy host for your blog.

@Lokasenna
I got it
Actually it is the same word in French. I thought it was too easy to be true.
@ashcat_lt
No doubt about that.
I also experience some troubles recently.
They may do some background maintenance or maybe the site has more visitors than usual.
Will try to make some optimizations from my side.
Meanwhile, I invite you to view the article on a PC, and try later if you find some troubles.

Alexander Dumas is rumoured to have said "English is just French, but badly pronounced"
Thanks for all the scripting tips X-Ray (and to the others who contribute here), I'm trying to get my head around both Lua and Reaper scripting for the first time and feel like I've walked into a minefield, but all the tips and tutorials are a great help !
Cheers
Rob

Nota bene, as Xraym has likely noticed, he's not able to make noticeable changes to notable words in a thread title as a user. So I did that.
If someone knows a trick to smuggle "no table" into that sentence without sacrificing too much meaning, please tell me

I went to hear some Indian music, but unfortunately there was no tabla.

Gifs are directly linked from their original URL so it is not my fault :P
@EpicSounds
Oh yes,
but as far as I know, this one doesn't require REAPER 5... and I only heard about it few days ago (I didn't even see any forum thread about it, did I missed something ?)
Anyway, I take a look at the video and... yes, it sounds interesting ! need to test it.

Thanks for the article and mention of my envelope generator thing!
The envelope generator is unfortunately currently in a bit of a limbo state...The latest git commit probably isn't what people should be trying to use. (I should have tried working on the more complicated stuff in a separate git branch, really.) But maybe it's too complicated for people to retrieve some older version...I have to see what version works acceptably and I could upload it separately somewhere, so you could put a link to that instead of the Bitbucket repo.

@heda
You did the hard work... coding some of these scripts :P
@Xenakios
Despite the fact it is not finished, it is still one of the greatest script project out there
The version provided in bitbucket has already be useful to me, with great satisfaction.
